because it's all about me

Deep thoughts this morning...

I suspect that my blogwriting is fueling my narcissism. I think I've generally been the type of person who likes to draw attention to myself and I'm pretty thrilled to have this platform to discuss my favorite subject (ME).

And I'm not particularly proud of that.

yes but then there is the building of community and the caring and reaching out to others and that balances the narcissism or is that just what i tell myself?

Hmmm.....I like hearing you talk about yourself honestly. I think because it feels like I get to know the real you, and so often, people aren't real about themselves. So, my advice would be, keep right on talking about yourself. You are a very interesting and good person to know. :-)

Rest assured (from those of us who have had the pleasure of knowing you), that you are worth knowing, and without the blog....it might not have come to be.

:)

Long live narcissism (in Jana, anyway).

Thanks guys, for your comments on this topic.

I like the way that blogging creates community and also allows me to ruminate on topics that move beyond the surface-level conversations that we usually engage in with acquaintances or strangers.

So many of you I would've never known had it not been for the blog--and that counts for something, indeed!
