Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

Wow, I was severely worried about the lyricist in this song until it got to the middle and changed! I kept thinking, "J**** C****! Seriously? Join the f*cking Peace Corps or something!"

And then it changed and made me feel much better.
I don't really think you have anything to worry about on this score. We all write about ourselves on our blogs, sharing our lives and our thoughts, but there are so many wonderful things that make up your life that are not specifically you yet comprise who you are that I don't really think talking about them -- or even just you, if you could ever talk about just you, if there were a just you or a just me or a just any single person floating out there truly alone -- is narcissism so much as love overflowing.
True, not every blogger writes because of love overflowing, but I think you do. And yes, I do think it's all the time, even when you're writing about things that are very, very personal indeed.

i love this video ... i saw it yesterday too and am planning on blogging about it as well : )
i do think that you and many i know blog for the community, the connections, we read and comment to spread some love and joy and we write from a place of honesty and that can be of help to others.
