So it's Friday night and I'm sitting at home reading this book (that hasn't been checked out of the UC system libraries since 1995) and taking notes. Because I am a special kind of dork that's called a history PhD student.
But you're our kind of dork. Coming from the woman who went to findagrave.com to make sure that she didn't miss any dead monarchs on her honeymoon in the UK...
Maybe it shows that we should be more dorky as a society. I remember when I checked out Fracis Bacon's New Atlantis at my university's library, and it was a 100 year old version (the most recent copy the had) that hadn't been checked out in a few decades. And this has segments in the Norton Anthology! Yea for dorks, how sad for everyone else.
Don't special kinds of dorks get to go to special kinds of heavens, where there are myriad books that haven't been checked out for centuries that we get to peruse at our leisure? It's like a heaven of 72 virgin books to do with as you please.

Yeah, that tells you something when it doesn't rate a picture on Amazon...

Um. 1995 wasn't that long ago. Was it?
