I was raised Mormon, but now I'm a hippie Quaker living in the OC with my two teenage kids: CatGirl & GameBoy.
Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

I haven't the faintest clue what I'm going to be--any ideas? I don't think it's been enough years yet to resurrect Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.
I'm going to a theme party: Superheroes and Supervillains.
I'm going to be Big Oil. My grrl is going as a beautiful Earth Warrior.

I usually don't dress up. I just give out candy and take pictures of the little tricksters.
1912-era suffragette; made my own white blouse and skirt, and my own Votes for Women sash, and my own "We Demand an Amendment to the United States Constitution Enfranchising Women" protest sign, and I have a frou-frou straw hat to top it off. I don't think I'm going to dress up this year. Too much homework :(
I'm going as Tina Turner from the 70s. I'm going to get a long wig and probably cut some bangs. I already have some boots that look great with a retro silky dress. The only thing I need to buy is the wig and a little make-up.
