the daily catch

This was my garden basket this morning. See those awesome heirloom beans? They were so good (just finished dinner a few minutes ago). Had sauce with the Roma tomatoes that you can just barely spy underneath the beans.

What did you pick from your garden today?

Here in North Florida our summer garden is kaput. Gone. The only thing I am picking out of it is weeds, which I am doing in preparation for the fall garden and am looking forward to that- the greens, the lettuces, the onions, cabbages, the broccoli, the cauliflower.
Soon.
If I get out the weeds.
Your beans are beautiful.

Tomatoes. I am obsessed with tomato, goat cheese, and olive oil salad. I think that's going to be my dinner for the next week or two.

Also tomatoes. Luckily for me, I've also got a block of goat cheese, and some picholines. Now I know what to do with them.

The other day, I dug up a couple pounds of potatoes, some the size of marbles.
