sounds like...

Don't you think "Warriorette" sounds awfully similar to "Marionette"?

EWWWW! You made me unknowingly go to the Desserette books site. Now I have to decontaminate my keyboard!

I should have guessed though because only a place called Desserette would come up with something so diminuetive as warriorrette.

What would they have us call Sarah Palin should she win the election. Vice Presidentette?

Oh my word. Even at the nadir of my Young Women experience (never did get that damn medallion - not evil, just lazy... which was evil... oh dear) I never once was called a warriorette. Does it come with a Hello Kitty Spear and Shield set? With a little tin of lip gloss set into the mirrored back of the shield (where the Urim and Thummim would be if one were a priesthood holder)? And do you have to wear a helmet because I think that would mess up my hair.

Worst. Title. Ever.

I just figured it out! It's intended to be like Cougars and Cougarettes! One group does all the cool, priesthoody, manly stuff, conversing with God and all that, and one group cheers them on from the sidelines by making delicious casseroles and cupcakes, and pressing sparkling white shirts. They're not supposed to be the same, so the gender-ification was necessary.

Hmm, somehow it just doesn't conjure the fierce capability that say ... Xena the Warrior Princess evoked (although the implied and overt Xena/Gabriella homoeroticism reminds me of the male homoerotic art I remember from my own LDS upbringing).
