short shameful confession #6

To John, a few hours after trimming off some wiry black hairs around my scabby leg wound:

"Do you think my leg is scary-looking?"

"It's a lot less scary now that it doesn't have a beard."

That is true love! My husband still thanks me for taking care of him when he had his leg in a cast from being hit by a car and that was well over ten years ago. He got a taste of what it was like to be cared for and I got to know what it was like to be the care taker. A really nice change of rolls.
