[Note: I've been getting asked lately if I lost my leg in the war. It shocks me to have to field this question, but it speaks to the recent increase in those of us who've lost limbs....]

It never occurred to me that you would be asked that question, though not at all surprising on reflection. It's not a question that would have been heard before. Just another stark reminder of the this badly concieved war.
Wait, what I actually stopped by for was to see how your garden plans were coming. It's the time of the year when fresh vegetables are much on my mind.
