my new best friends

paradasaical, originally uploaded by pilgrimgirl.

I find new best friends all the time on teh internets. Of course they usually don't know that they are my best friends, but I start reading their blogs and then follow their twitter and all of a sudden I feel like I know them, and what they're doing is important to me. Isn't that a wee bit creepy?

Maybe...

I've met so many amazing folks through teh cyber-magic, usually getting acquainted with your words and your lives long before I see a photo of your face (and when I do finally *see* you, what fun that is!). I love that the 'net brings us all together.

So please don't be freaked out when I drop a comment on your site, k? And now can we can all hold hands and sing a round of Kumbaya together?...anyone play the guitar?

I think most of us do the same thing - so maybe we're all creepy together.

are people freaked out when you leave a comment? oooh, I *love* comments. and I've met some amazing people from blog-introduction to blog-introduction. via your site I've found Oregon Quakers who raise chickens, for example. we're all in this together!

Comment away!

Oh, and I love Birds of Paradise. Isn't that what those flowers (plants?) are called? I had them in the arrangements for the front of the chapel at my wedding. (we went tropical because we were jonesing for our honeymoon in Brazil to start as soon as possible!)

I think of you that way, though I've never left a comment before. This seems like a good occasion though. Hi, best friend!

You don't want to know that my kids said that kumbaya was their favorite song the other night. I then mentioned a couple of other songs and they agreed they liked those songs as well. It was cute.

I've been reading your blog for awhile - while I don't always comment, I'm usually reading. Blogs do provide a unique window into people's lives, don't they?

Yes, definitely. And I love reading your blog even though I rarely comment there, too! :)
