like a John Hughes movie

in his arms
This month John and I will celebrate 19 years since we met and fell in love. Most days I feel like I am a character in the very best John Hughes movie ever.

*applauds* That is so great. Seeing things like this gives me hope for the universe. My parents have been married for 41 years (almost 42), and I love it when people make it WORK. HOORAY!

YEA for the two of you -- we'll be married 18 years in November -- I too know what it is like to marry a wonderful guy.

Here's to similar blog posts about your 29th, 39th and 49th anniversaries -- and beyond.

Congratulations! My husband and I celebrated 20 happy years last month. I would characterise our relationship as a David Linch TV sit com with the ocational musical number.

We wrote letters to each other and read them on the beach. We bought 20 dollars worth of lottery tickets and won bubkis. And the best thing we did was to make a CD that represented the sound track of our life together.

We didn't exchange gifts we just had a really fun day together. Please excuse the previous mushies stuff. I promise that if you visit me at www.thegimpygirls.com there is very little of the mushie stuff.

Here via Dooce's website. And I'd know that face anywhere! I was good friends with your younger sister S. I have thought about her a lot and wondered what she was up to. My main happy holiday memories were doing the 12 days of Christmas to your family...
