I was raised Mormon, but now I'm a hippie Quaker living in the OC with my two teenage kids: CatGirl & GameBoy.
Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

I wonder if I made a mistake in going down in the first place. It's a sad thing that your infected leg has become kind of a baseline, something "normal."
Hopefully the fix is in sight.
If that's a bus that's John's on, I wish you guys had called me, and I could have taken him back from SD for you. (In my environmentally friendly, smug-o-matic Prius.)
If you have time for an update, I'd like to know how you're doing today.
