I was raised Mormon, but now I'm a hippie Quaker living in the OC with my two teenage kids: CatGirl & GameBoy.
Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

This is fun!
I just applied to join the group, and took my picture with 5 books.
We're going out of town Wed for a week, can I post those pictures later or should I just skip that part?
Hi Jessica: posting them later, or taking a little break, shouldn't be a problem. Plus, the minimum participation is two photos per week, so you should feel pressure to respond to all of the challenges.
I think John meant that you should NOT feel pressure to respond to all of the challenges. :)

Wow, glad I read the end there! Jessica recommended this to me, but I don't want any pressure. Got enough of that already! I like the challenge and the idea! What a fun way to get interesting photos!
