This is my first rose from my favorite bush this season. The blooms smell so strongly that they scent an entire room.

Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

Beautiful! And I love the vase. I seem to remember my mother (or grandmother) having one like it.
This is a milk-glass vase from the DI, I think. Such vases are simple and cheap (I have two of them that probably cost $1 apiece), but they look vintage-y elegant with flowers, IMO.
