to the realms of the immortals...

The first cup moistens my lips and throat. The second cup breaks my loneliness. The third cup searches my barren entrail but to find therein some thousand volumes of odd ideographs. The fourth cup raises a slight perspiration - all the wrongs of life pass out through my pores. At the fifth cup I am purified. The sixth cup calls me to the realms of the immortals. The seventh cup - ah, but I could take no more! I only feel the breath of the cool wind that raises in my sleeves. Where is Elysium? Let me ride on this sweet breeze and waft away thither.

I pulled those out of the tea cupboard when it got so crowded with tea and chocolate and coffee that things spilled out every time I reached in there. I wasn't sure how you'd respond.

I'm not sure that it's good for the tea to be exposed to so much heat and steam from the stove. But I love what a pretty row the various tins make. It cheers me every time I'm cooking :)

Do you use the Gypsy used tea bag as a facial toner too?

My friend just gave me that tip. She also made some seriously delicious edamame with some tasty gypsy tea.

I should try the facial toner thing. Truth be told, I'm awful at 'beauty' routines. My poor skin doesn't get toning or moisturizing other than a bit of a cleaning scrub in the shower.

Someday I'm sure I'll lament that I wasn't more attentive to such tasks, but there are so many other things I'd rather do than fuss with my face....

What flavor tea did your friend use for the edamame? That sounds so tasty!!

Edamame recipe as follows: grind up Lapsang souchong tea with sea salt to taste, toss cooked beans in shells with olive oil & tea mixture. That’s it:)
