I love ballet, but this piece is a bit too overly-sentimental for me. Still, it's interesting to see how the leg amputee uses his crutch and his body to move around the stage. What do you think?
You're definitely correct that the piece was overly sentimental.
The thing that interested me...and this is because I've worked as a props handler for the ballet off and on for a few years...was how the male dancer's crutch was integrated into the dance as a prop, in the traditional meaning of the word as opposed to it being there "just" to prop him up.
Other than that, I thought that the choreography for the female dancer was a bit too frantic at times, but overall, as a fan of the ballet, I enjoyed watching the clip.
