short shameful confession #1

Favorite concert ever was seeing John Denver at the Greek Amphitheater. John, Mom, and I had cheap seats and were at the top with no one else around us (I guess everyone else was either richer than us or was willing to jump to an open seat lower down).

I sang at the top of my lungs, every word of every song (even though JD asked us to stick to the choruses).

Since you confessed, I suppose I have to as well.

While it wasn't my favorite concert, all time, one of my favorites was seeing John Denver, for my birthday one year, and having floor seats in something like row 11.

My mom tells the story of the time we went to a John Denver concert at ISU and I couldn't believe what I saw through my binoculars: curly hair and no glasses! He didn't look like he did on my 8-track at all! Once he started singing though, I decided it probably was him after all.

Life ain't nothin but a funny funny riddle...

John Denver brings back such memories... I don't think my folks had any other music except for him and classical.
wish I could have seen him in concert.

(ps. wanted to thank you for linking up to caroline's blog... I really needed to see some of what she wrote)

I'm going to go put on John Denver right now and yes it was my favorite concert as well. Sitting cross legged on the ground as he sang the night before the popular SF "Bay-to-Breakers" race. Mesmerized. Years later in medical school he was at the JFK amphitheter singing christmas carols with the philharmonic. Also wonderful.

My husband still teases me about my love for him. And I'm still devastated about his death.

I loved his heart that just spilled out everywhere when he sang.
