wedding quilt

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.

What a beautiful quilt! I love whole cloth quilts, especially Welsh and Durham quilts. I come from a long line of Mormon women who quilt and I do believe it is a lost art. Especially hand quilting. Machine quilting seems to be the norm now. To me, there it is a beautiful and soul soothing thing to stitch...a quilt, embroidery, etc. There is so much satisfaction in it.
Anyway...gorgeous wedding quilt. My mother made mine...and Irish Chain and a family friend sent it off to some Amish quilters she knows to have it stitched as our wedding gift. We use it in the summer and it always brings a smile to my face. :-)
