My kids can sing all the words to this Mormon commercial despite the fact that they've never seen it themselves. John and I have sung it to them many, many times. Weird, eh?

Ha! I didn't know anyone else remembered about that commercial. It's been awhile, but I have been know to sing that song around the house too! LOL
I've corrupted them, though--you didn't mention their favorite versions: - Goofy and Mickey Mouse. - Man with a really thick Japanese accent. - Versions with various words swapped out or mispronounced.
Love it Jana...I didn't realize as a kid how weird (and cool actually) it was to have an entire commercial sung like a scene from a little opera. The baritone is pretty good! I love serendipitous production numbers.
I know this probably seems trivial to most people, but.... I can't help it:
If a ball coming from the street broke Mr. Robinson's window, wouldn't the glass have fallen inside his apartment, rather than to the pavement outside?
Bekah, it wasn't limited to LDS areas. I remember seeing it again and again on network television (albeit during late afternoon cartoons) in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was perhaps my first encounter with the LDS Church.

That song totally takes me back to my childhood. Crazy.

I don't remember seeing that commercial, but isn't that kid Alfonso Ribeiro?

Looks like you're right, Jonathan:

It bounces off of Mr. Robinson's head and back out again, breaking the remaining glass?
Having not grown up in UT/AZ/ID, I totally missed this one. Awesome.
I grew up in the Bible Belt but still somehow managed to see this commercial. Not sure why?? In seminary, perhaps?

They took the video down....does anyone have a copy of it or know where I can see it?
