Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

We are getting excited too! Unfortunately I was unable to get my clan to get on board for a whale of a tale, but they don't want to go to the Borders until 11pm, so I think I might stop by.
I am kinda bummed because somehow the people who were not too cool to dress up for the 4th movie premier two years ago grew up in those last two years and no longer want to dress up for the event.
I decided I am not too old...I wore my sweater to the movie the other day...
Okay, really I just wanted to say that I cannot wait for Friday!!!
That is uncanny! They really should enter a look-a-like contest.
You have the greatest kids! To quote Ryan, "When we have kids someday, let's make sure they are just like John and Jana's." :-)
Alas, I have not read the books nor seen any movie but the first. Maybe someday.
