Got many of my vegetable plants in this past weekend. This is my first year growing my own tomatillos. Can you tell that I'm thrilled? :)

Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

And I was happy that I started my tomato seeds this weekend. We definitely live in different climates. The only thing I have planted outside so far are my shallot sets.
