CatGirl just returned from her class' three-day outing to Catalina Island. Where she snorkeled, frolicked, and grew about 3 inches taller.

I was raised Mormon, but now I'm a hippie Quaker living in the OC with my two teenage kids: CatGirl & GameBoy.
Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

ahhhh CIMI. I love that place. Some good times were spent there when I was a kid.
Did you go to CIMI with your school or did you go to the summer program?
Summer program, and both my sisters, and mother worked there so I went with them and hung out all summer. A total kid's dream.
Lorell you are one lucky duck to have had such opportunities! My kids have a wanna-be professor Mom and spend their time with me in libraries and at conferences. boorrrrrinnng!
i spent one glorious day at Catalina Island many years ago. what a fabulous place! i'm envious of CatGirl!
My college did freshman orientation at the boy scout (?) camp on Catalina. What a heavenly place to spend time!
