I was raised Mormon, but now I'm a hippie Quaker living in the OC with my two teenage kids: CatGirl & GameBoy.
Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy taking a look at your blog. Your husbands' blog gets me though-wrestling. Yours is a delight. Comforting and tender like a novel headed in a happy direction. By which I do not mean it is unreal. And I like thought-wrestling, too.
why is this flower so threatening?
d: I think its threatening because of its spikiness. It's also upside-down here, so maybe it threatens your sense of equilibrium???
pmk: thank you for your kind comment. for me, blogging is about reflection and joy. there are lots of tough things that happen to me that don't appear here. this is more of a 'pillow book' version of my life.
