Twenty-six years ago I lost my right leg to bone cancer. Awhile ago I had an antibiotic-resistant infection in my lower left leg, and now I'm healing from surgery and feeling better every day.
I like gardening, making history, outrigger canoeing, trying new things, and my afternoon cup of tea.

You are such a good ad for that little camera!
I just wish I'd had a photo of a mosquito! The bee was the closest I could come--I imagine that bedtime with a bee wouldn't be all that fun, either....
The lighting in that shot, though, and the detail you captured as well as the range of colors, would be challenging even with "better" equipment. Knowing you didn't do anything to the photo afterward, 'cause that's just not your practice, just makes it that much more sophisticated an achievement.
