Now it sounds like I'm a bad person.

I'm impressed with your tenacity in finding something that will work. It reminds me of the story of Joseph Pilates, who had only a small space, but a fervent belief that he should keep his body strong and healthy.

Since I've not been able to run regularly for various reasons, and my kids won't let me do yoga, I've started a dancing routine in the mornings. I just put in a video (I'm hopelessly addicted to movies) and, instead of vegetating, dance around the room for at least 30 minutes, til I'm good and warm. Kiki loves to dance with me, or run in circles around me, or otherwise impede my movements.

Now I sorta want to get a trampoline.sarah k.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18443012372866539495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14231518.post-13678796012340011172008-11-30T19:08:00.000-08:002008-11-30T19:08:00.000-08:00Funny you should mention the mini-tramp w/ stabili...Funny you should mention the mini-tramp w/ stabilizer bar. One of my sisters is an occupational therapist and organized a group gift to my parents of just such a trampoline a couple of years ago. (Dad was recovering from knee replacement, Mom from chemo.) Sis was meticulous in her research and in making sure our parents knew how to use it safely. Two years later, they still use it.

They said the same thing you did - start out with just a few minutes at a time. They were both surprised at how much of a workout they got. They both had trouble mastering the balance thing at first (Dad's therapist OKed it, as his new knee was 3 months old by then), but once they got the hang of it, they had fun.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06242503212913962081noreply@blogger.com
